Jill Gardener, Research Assistant

Jill has significant international development experience; since 2016 she has worked in Madhya Pradesh as a youth worker, extensively across Europe and the UK with refugee and asylum seeker populations, and as a training facilitator for VSO. Most recently as an NGO Coordinator in Lesvos, Jill established and directed a language school for asylum seekers on the island, undertook all HR and volunteer management duties and supported project and distribution planning. Additionally, Jill has significant programme management experience in a business environment, specifically the data centre industry, where she has worked in both London and New York.


Jill is TEFL qualified with teaching experience and holds a high First-Class Honours in International Relations and International Development from the University of Sussex. Throughout her time at university, Jill also received a full scholarship to study at Renmin University, Beijing.
