Sara oversees stakeholder relations and qualitative research delivery at The Research Base. Her work includes client liaison, business development and overseeing the delivery of focus groups and interviews as part of research projects. With a background in headhunting and policy, she is experienced in working with senior stakeholders and building professional networks. She also manages The Research Base’s Associate network and is generally nice to all our friends and contacts.
Sara also has significant expertise in education and sustainability research. She routinely works with policy makers, employers, social enterprises and young people, both in the UK and internationally, to gather evidence for research projects. Her recent work includes the management and delivery of fieldwork, including interviews and focus groups in Myanmar, Indonesia, Ghana, Kenya and Mauritania.
Sara has an MBA and is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner.
In her spare time, she has mentored young people in the London Borough of Camden, helping them consider higher and further education routes as well as CV writing and job interview preparation.
Before setting up The Research Base, Sara worked for public and private sector clients across Europe. In the UK, she has also worked extensively with Central Government and associated policy organisations, establishing the Westminster Sustainable Business Forum (WSBF) and handling the mainstream running of Policy Connect. Sara has delivered independent consultancy in environmental sustainability and CSR for high profile initiatives such as cuttingthecarbon and organisations like Policy Connect. She has also worked for international headhunting firm Odgers Berndtson, in their UK Central Government Practice, to recruit for social and environmental responsibility.
